DANCING WHEN YOU GET THERE

For many people traveling to tropical destinations, visiting local nightlife is a must. Although North American 'top-40' music is often the fare, in less-populated more remote areas, the format is more of the familiar 'county dance' seen in yester-years, and some form of 'partner dancing' is usually the best way to fit in and enjoy the music. From there, the local dance style can resemble anything from a subdued version of the familiar bachata, merengue, cumbia or rumba, or can be flat out Salsa as in some Latin America destinations (above).
